Prior to the light rail development, many of these destinations were supported by a dated public bus service, but now they are conveniently connected through this state-of-the-art rail system. The light rail trains now accommodate 450 passengers per trip, the equivalent of up to nine standard buses.

The resulting design created and opened access to outdoor spaces, 零售, dining and a car-free corridor. One of the notable design challenges was creating efficient interchange points between light rail, 重轨, 和渡船, while folding in new connections points in the system.
